Borommakot's Baby

® First Impression: A tad plain of a layout, but there is a picture, so sure, why not. The first entry I read was I have a web-comic. I don’t know what it was about the entry that caught my attention, but there was something there. I think it was how you wrote about your comic, not being funny, but maybe being funny someday. I just liked the general tone of this entry, although the last paragraph was a little out of place. (4/5)

® Content: I noticed in one of your entries that you thought that Pirate movie was going to suck. I was actually amazed by how cool it was, but that’s just a side-note, so I digress. I liked this entry a lot. So far, it’s the one that’s stood out to me the most. I found it interesting that you and your friends have soda drinking parties, most of all of the parties where I live involve no soda at all, only alcohol, so I’ve never really been too interested in going. Sounds like you and your friends have a real good time. I liked your diary’s writing. I don’t know what it was about it still; I think you just have a way of conveying what you’re feeling about something in a humorous way. I did find myself laughing at your diary even though it wasn’t full of jokes or things that would conventionally make someone laugh; it’s just some of the observations you make that I guess are so obvious, they’re funny. You have a lot of entries recommending things to your readers, nothing you really mentioned sounded TOO interesting to me at the moment, but maybe someday I’ll want something to watch or read, and I’ll come to you for inspiration. I found a lot of insight in your diary, things you were thinking about, which is a great thing. You involve your readers in your diary, which is something that is rare, and usually annoying. Most of the time, you avoid the annoyingness of this diary trait. Great. (23/30)

® Layout: It’s a little bit boring, but after seeing how much you love Nirvana in this entry, I understood why you chose it. Your profile also told me why you chose your title, so that’s good. I don’t like how big the font is. I’m not a big fan of huge fonts, or little fonts, and I’m also not a big fan of white on black. It hurts my eyes. I would think that the bigger it gets, the less it would hurt my eyes, but I’ve found that to be quite the opposite. You made your own design, so props to you, I could never figure out how to get an in-line scroll on my own diary’s design. I didn’t like how you didn’t have the entry title anywhere on your diary! Then I couldn’t remember what entries I wanted to put links to in your review. I suggest putting the title on there somewhere. (16/20)

® Errors: Nope, I guess I could count not having the entry title as an error, but I won’t. All of your links work. All of your writing is good. (10/10)

® Contact: Book, notes, and e-mail. (3/5)

® Extras: You have the standard things most people have, but then you have your designs and your movie review site. Now you also have comics, (I did think the one about the Pirate movie was funny…) (10/10)

® Navigation: It’s all there, and hard to miss. (5/5)

® Updates: Not too often… (3/5)

® Originality: You made your own layout. I’ve also never seen a journal with its own comics site attached, or a movie review site, so you’re good there. Also, you were pretty interesting to read. (3/5)

® Lasting Impression: I don’t know… I don’t really think so. (1/5)

® Total: (79/100)

®Comments: Why not have a link to this in your navigation?
